The summer is also a time when slope "motoring" is available down the Vuokatinrinteet slope in Vuokatti. First, the lift takes the driver and the car up the slope. The return trip relies on gravity as the driver steers the car along an asphalted and winding track. Slope "motoring" can be made into a small-scale competition as timing introduces an additional excitement factor into this "motoring". There is a junior track for the younger members of the family.
"Motoring" down the Vuokatinrinteet slope is a pollution-free and noiseless "motoring" experience for families and groups of friends. It can also be included as an entertaining item on the agenda of a meeting. Slope motoring requires that the drivers are at least 150 cm in height.
A slope car is a vehicle which is used to come down a ski-slope when there is no snow on the ground. The car does not have an engine and yet it enables the driver to take a measure of his courage and the speed he can reach. Accurate steering, efficient disc brakes, four-point seat belts, and a cushioned seat guarantee the safety of the driver, young people included, despite the speed.
This is a novelty as an activity and everyone is in an equal position because the equipment is the same. Slope "motoring" is not a physically strenuous activity and age, weight and gender do not affect the final outcome.
