Vuokatti is a place where you can try trekking on horseback with well-behaved and trained Icelandic horses. There are routes of different lengths and levels to choose from. Horseback trekking is for both families as well corporate groups; to each according to their wishes. These treks are also planned with an eye to the participants' level, and so no prior riding experience is required.
The feisty and yet well-behaved Icelandic horses wish you most welcome to the world of trekking on horseback. All our horses were born in Iceland and raised as members of a herd. All have received basic training and they are terrain-sure tölters - small in stature, but big in attitude.
Horseback treks of different lengths are available to families and corporate groups along forest rails of great natural beauty. All of the treks include guidance in horse control and in riding, and the necessary equipment as dictated by the weather.
The treks are carried out to match the participating group's level; prior riding experience is not required. The pleasant stable-house or a hunting lodge in the woods can be stopped at for lunch or a snack by prior arrangement.
