Vuokatinhovi offers versatile accommodation around the year; available are both the hotel and holiday apartments. Vuokatinhovi also serves as a booking agency for the peaceful and luxuriously comfortable Hiekkahovi. In addition to providing accommodation services, Vuokatinhovi is also a venue with a diversity of leisure-time activities.
Vuokatinhovi is situated in the middle of a pine forest - a prime site for an active family holiday.
Holiday apartments: There are 36 apartments in the immediate vicinity of the main building. Two apartment sizes: 73 sq. m (for 4-6 persons) and 47 sq. m (for 2-4 persons) with a combined living room and kitchen, 1-2 bedrooms, a drying room, a toilet, a washroom, a sauna, a room for sports equipment, and a porch. Some of the apartments have been designed with due attention for persons with physical disabilities. The accommodation price always includes linen and bed clothes. A washer is included in the larger apartments.
The hotel: Vuokatinhovi's main building has 7 double rooms. The room equipping includes a radio, a telephone, a colour television, a toilet, and a shower.
Pikkuhovi: 15 rooms (for 1-4 persons) with water inlet, linen and bed clothes. Toilets and showers in the corridor. This is our most inexpensive accommodation option.
Hiekkahovi: Location in the immediate vicinity of the Katinkulta golf course by the shore of Lake Nuasjärvi. 8 double rooms, each with a sauna. Meeting and conference facility for up to 25 persons. The shared facilities include a room with a hearth and a sauna section. Excellent meeting and conference venue for corporate budget meetings and closing-of-accounts meetings, associations' meetings, small family occasions, evening get-togethers, sauna evenings, group holidays, and golfers.
Restaurants: Fully licensed restaurant, lobby bar, and self-service cafeteria.
The splendid buffet of the fully licensed restaurant is available from morning till night: breakfast 7.30am-10.00am, lunch 11.00am-3.00pm, dinner 5.00pm - 8.00pm, other times à la carte until 9.00pm.
The main building also has a lobby bar seating 30, a self-service cafeteria, and a room seating 20 and having a hearth. A magnificent log building seating 60 by the lakeside is also available for booking.
Leisure-time activities: Vuokatinhovi offers instruction and guidance in nearly all of the leisure-time activities available in Vuokatti: hiking, cycling, canoeing, snowshoeing, skiing, Nordic Walking, adventure excursions, sightseeing, amusement races, group activities, fitness gym plus tests, relaxation and stretching, basics of archery, workplace exercises, climbing wall, abseiling, adventure park, and survival game.
Location: 33 km from Kajaani, 7 km from Sotkamo, a few hundred metres from the ski tunnel. Buses are scheduled to pick up Vuokatti-bound passengers from each flight arriving at Kajaani airport and each long-distance train arriving at Kajaani railway station.
