Naapurivaaran Lomakeskus is open throughout the year. Our camping site is located at a distance of 5 km from Vuokatti with its year-round ski tunnel, ski-slopes, and outdoor trails. Katinkulta spa is at a distance of 3 km and the same applies to the nearest grocery store. This holiday centre is along the shore of Lake Nuasjärvi in the Vuokatti area.
Naapurivaaran Lomakeskus Holiday Centre has a total of 64 year-round bed places distributed among two semi-detached houses and four log cabins. In summer, there are additional 8 larger camping site cabins (each accommodating 4 persons), 11 smaller camping site cabins (each accommodating 2 persons), and 4 aitta buildings (each accommodating 4 persons).
Semi-detached houses: The semi-detached houses were built in 2003 and they are spacious and cosy. Downstairs they each have a living room + kitchen combination, one bedroom for 2 occupants, a toilet/shower, and a sauna. Upstairs there is another bedroom to 2 occupants, a loft-like level, and a toilet. In addition to their basic equipping, there is dishwasher and a washer, a hearth, and a drying closet for clothes. A view opens over Lake Nuasjärvi from the patio at the rear of the house.
Cabins: 3 cabins, each 40 sq. m in size, for 4+2 persons, with a living room+kitchen combination, sleeping alcove, a toilet and shower, a sauna, a TV, an electric cooker+stove, a microwave oven, a refrigerator, a coffee percolator, a set of crockery+cutlery, and a vacuum cleaner. 1 cabin, 95 sq. m in size, for 6+2 persons, with a living room+kitchen combination, a bedroom, a toilet and shower, a sauna, and an open loft-like level upstairs. The cottages also have the following: a TV, radio, a fireplace, a drying cupboard for clothes, a washer, an electric oven/stove, a microwave oven, a refrigerator, a coffee percolator, a vacuum cleaner.
Camping site cabins: 11 cabins, each accommodating 2 persons, and 8 cabins, each accommodating 4 persons. Two of the cabins for 2 persons have electricity supply and a refrigerator. The cabins for 4 persons also include cooking equipment (a hot plate, a set of crockery+cutlery, and a coffee percolator).
Tent and caravan/RV sites: There are tent sites and 50 caravan/RV sites, and 40 of them are provided with electrical power. A tent site costs €12 (€6 for 1 person)
Caravan/RV area: €15+ €4 per adult, €2 per child, incl. electricity. Caravan card and Camping card holders receive a discount of €2. Electrical power can be provided either at a fixed rate of €3.50 per day, €6 in winter 6, or based on the customer's own meter with a basic charge of €2.50 plus €0.40 per kWh of consumption.
The campsite has an amenities building where customers can use the washer and tumbler dryer, and toilets and showers for men and women. There is also a cooking and barbeque shelter.
For children, there is a playhouse, a sandpit with toys, a large trampoline, a merry-go-round, swings, and a large trampoline.
Moreover, there is a volleyball site, a darts place, and various other games can be rented from the restaurant (e.g. croquet, petanque, and badminton).
Services: Guests are served by the staff of a fully-licensed restaurant. Enjoy the summer on our patio while admiring the lake scenery. The restaurant has a pool table and karaoke equipment. Breakfast, dinner, lunch, and catering services are available by prior arrangement. At the lakeside there is a site for letting boats into the water, a new large jetty, and a beach for swimming and beach volley. Naapurivaaran Lomakeskus Holiday Centre has boats and canoes available for rent, and fishing permits are also on sale at €2 fish trap. Also available are alligator, wakeboard, and tyre rides on waves or water-skiing behind an aquajet.
One activity available by the lakeshore is to observe birds from the bird tower. The nearby area is home to about 50 bird species.
A splendid new lakeside sauna is due to be completed in 2011 and a traditional chimneyless sauna will be available for guests to book.
Hunting is an outdoors activity of the autumn. With Naapurivaaran Lomakeskus Holiday Centre as your point of departure, one interesting route is the Louhilenkki, which leads to a lovely lookout placer at Naapurivaara where there is a hut for resting in. Vuokatinrinteet ski-slopes is an area where a versatile network of hiking trails has a node and where in winter there are ski-slopes and a network of skin-trails. This is just 5 km from us.
The Louhilenkki route can be taken in winter as well on snowshoes or on skis. There is a ski-trail from the shore of the lake to Lake Nuasjärvi and from there to the Aurinkolatu ski-trail. Dancing at Naapurivaara Huvikeskus - bus transfer to and from our yard area.
Naapurivaaran Lomakeskus Holiday Centre offers a congenial setting for festivities, meetings and conferences, sauna evenings, recreational days for staff, and camp schools. We shall be glad to put together a programme and catering meeting our customers' wishes. Catering and accommodation and presentation of facilities for bus groups by prior arrangement.
